Hi everyone,
I got the exact same call threatening warrant for arrest Etc. I am actually behind in my tax returns and only just received a fine notice from the ATO only 3 days prior to this call. What I want to know - is this just an uncanny coincidence? Or does the ATO have a security breach or "Leak" with their systems. Has anyone else who received this call had any recent correspondence or dealings with the ATO ???

Same. Received a call for tax evasion. A warrant for our arrest. From the Tax office. How lovely that the Tax office would ask us to ring them so that we could get arrested! Lol. Definite scammer.

About one hour ago I received a call from that number claiming to be the ATO with very threatening words as reported by previous comments. Spam par excellence!
Claiming to be from ATO. American accent when I called back. When they rang originally it had that beep noise from an overseas caller. Scammers.
Received the same call. Called the caller back and told them Australian Tax Office does not call you.
Received a call claiming to be from ATO's Tax Avoidance and Tax Evasion area, threatening action in a Commonwealth Court, with a Warrant issued for my arrest. Male caller demanded a return call urgently. Obviously a scam - presumably to demand money. Beware!
