I received a call about an upgrade to my NBN service, but the issue is that I don’t have NBN installed. I feel frustrated because there seems to be a lack of protection for Australians from this type of scamming behavior. It's disappointing that I don't see any efforts being made by authorities, such as Anthony Albanese, to address digital theft and fraud in our country.
This person called with a delay between me answering and them speaking. Claimed to be from Telstra and then hung up on me.
This man has called me multiple times—10 to be exact—trying to get me to read out a verification code he sends to my phone to "change" my Outlook account details. His calls are aggressive and he continues to persist in his demands. The numbers from which he has called are: (02) 9071 0209, (02) 4408 6233, (02) 7251 9509, (08) 7092 2534, (02) 9071 0222, (02) 7251 9501. His conduct is alarming and bothersome.
I missed a call from this number, and I’m relieved I didn’t answer. I’ve seen comments from others indicating that this is likely a scam. I truly wish all fraudsters would take responsibility for their actions and stop harassing the public! It’s frustrating.

This number called me and the person on the other end initially asked, “how can I help you?” Then, they claimed that my Visa/MasterCard had been hacked by someone named John in the US. I believe this is 100% a scam. The call ended abruptly when I refused to confirm my name.

I received multiple calls from someone claiming to be from Telstra regarding my NBN service. They mentioned issues like my computer connecting to foreign IP addresses and the illegal nature of having malware on my device due to recent legislation. They further claimed there were problems with my internet connection that were sending error messages. This is highly suspicious.
Claimed there had been a series of suspicious payments on our visa / mastercard card(s) over the internet and were calling to verify. They were phishing for personal details and claimed that they couldn't progress with the call unless we verified our card details (which I presume would translate to us giving them our credit card details). When we asked where they were calling from, they claimed to be working for all the major banks - NAB, ANZ, etc. Clearly a scam.
They pretended to be from Telstra asking about a problem with my internet connection and requested my personal details. When I asked them to confirm their identity, they hung up. I firmly believe this is a scam!
The caller claimed they were from NBN, and when I told them I couldn't speak at the moment, they threatened to call the police on me. When I asked them to repeat who was calling, they rudely commented, "See now you're interested." I clarified that I just wanted to confirm their identity in case I needed to contact the police, and they hung up.
This number keeps calling me but never leaves a message. It's becoming very annoying, and I am considering blocking it.
I received a missed call from this number, and they left a voicemail, but the voicemail was silent and contained no sounds.
They claimed they were offering to upgrade my connection for free, which I found interesting since I currently do not have an NBN connection at all.
