What Do We Know About 02 9067 0488?
Many users have reported receiving calls from the number 02 9067 0488, raising red flags about its authenticity. A pattern emerges from several reviews, pointing to this number being potentially classified as a spam or suspicious caller.
User Experiences: A Common Theme
In documented interactions, users mentioning that the caller starts in English but quickly transitions to Chinese, often without any response to requests for clarification, exemplifies a common complaint. For instance:
- On 15 August 2023, one user experienced an abrupt language switch after an English greeting, leading to the call's premature end when English was prioritised.
- Another review on 10 November 2023 indicated a similar scenario where the caller requested to speak in Chinese, concluding the interaction once the recipient identified their language barrier.
Why Is This Important?
The nature of these interactions suggests that 02 9067 0488 could be a part of a larger spam strategy, where users are contacted with little intention of genuine communication. The immediate hang-up upon language preference illustrates a potential tactic to screen for receptive targets or isolate language barriers.

What Our Users Reviewed
The caller initially spoke in English but then asked me to speak in Chinese. When I told them I did not speak Chinese, they immediately hung up.
The caller did not speak either Mandarin or English clearly. Their statements were illogical: they claimed to be from a telecom company reporting that someone had registered my number to send spam messages. They said my number was under my name but had been stopped, and later mentioned that my current number was an emergency contact. This does not make sense to me, so I believe it must be a scam.
The caller initially spoke in English with a Chinese accent but switched to Chinese after my greeting. When I requested they continue in English, they ended the call.
