Phone System Sales Reports for 02 9054 6603
Three contributors have reported contact from 02 9054 6603 (also written as 0290546603) regarding phone system services. The caller identifies as NexGen Australia, a legitimate phone system provider. However, two of the three reports describe persistent sales behaviour and unwanted callback requests, while one contributor confirmed the legitimacy of the contact for an NBN installation site visit.
The reports reveal a mixed picture. One business owner verified that NexGen Australia called legitimately about an NBN network installation. The other two contributors, however, describe repeated calls about upgrading phone systems despite explicitly declining interest and requesting removal from the call list.
What Callers from 02 9054 6603 Say
Contributors report that callers from 02 9054 6603 claim to represent NexGen Australia and reference phone system upgrades. One report describes a caller who used the business owner's legal name (not the name he uses day-to-day), and suggested he had previously spoken to the owner about a phone system upgrade. When challenged, the contributor told the caller this conversation never occurred.
In another report, a caller insisted on scheduling a callback after the business repeatedly stated they had a new phone system installed just one month prior and had no interest in upgrading. The contributor asked the caller to remove them from the call list, but noted the caller promised removal while also insisting on scheduling a future callback.
Callback Request Pattern
One contributor specifically flagged the callback_request tactic associated with 0290546603. After declining multiple times and emphasising they had a recent phone system installation, the caller persisted in scheduling another call for a couple of months later. The contributor noted this was frustrating given they had clearly stated disinterest and the reason (new system) made further contact unnecessary.

What Our Users Reviewed
NexGen Australia.
They are the phone system provider for our small business.
They had called wanting to speak to the owner about a site visit to install National Broadband Network.
If I get another phone call from this company. We continue to tell them we do not want a phone system, they then continue to tell us they will call back. I said PLEASE STOP CALLING US WE ARE NOT GETTING A NEW PHONE SYSTEM. I JUST TOLD YOU THE ONE WE HAVE IS A MONTH OLD SO WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO CALL BACK IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS. PLEASE TAKE OUR NAME OF THE LIST. They said they would but we will see.
Received a phone call asking to speak to one of the owners using his legal name, but not the name that he uses. (has not used ever). Made out he had been speaking to him and he asked them to call back about a phone system. I told them that no way had he spoken to (our guy) and that we did not want a phone system. I asked if he was with Commander (as it is the type of call that they do) and they said no. I told them we had a new phone system and no need to call back.

WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Is 02 9054 6603 a legitimate business number?
Yes, 02 9054 6603 is associated with NexGen Australia, a legitimate phone system provider. One contributor confirmed receiving a genuine call from this number about an NBN installation site visit. However, the other two reports describe unwanted sales calls about phone system upgrades despite previous declinations. Legitimacy does not mean the call is wanted or appropriate for your situation.
Why do callers from 0290546603 keep calling after I say no?
One contributor reported that after declining a phone system upgrade multiple times, the caller from 0290546603 insisted on scheduling another callback for a couple of months later, even though the business had explained they had just installed a new phone system a month prior. This callback_request tactic suggests the sales process is designed to loop calls back into the system rather than respect initial declinations.
What should I do if 02 9054 6603 keeps calling my business?
Clearly state you are not interested and request written confirmation of removal from their contact list via email. Document each call with the date and time. If calls continue after you have explicitly requested they stop, register with the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au and file a complaint with ACMA at acma.gov.au, particularly if the calls are unsolicited sales calls.
Do callers from 0290546603 have accurate information about previous conversations?
One contributor reported that a caller from 0290546603 used the business owner's legal name and suggested the owner had previously agreed to a callback about a phone system. The contributor confirmed this conversation never happened. This suggests callers may be working from incomplete or inaccurate contact lists rather than confirmed prior agreements.
Is 02 9054 6603 calling about NBN or phone systems?
NexGen Australia, the company behind 02 9054 6603, provides both phone system services and can be involved in NBN-related installations. One contributor received a legitimate call from this number about an NBN site visit. Other contributors received unsolicited calls about phone system upgrades. The purpose depends on the specific reason for the call.
Why did the caller from 0290546603 use a name my owner doesn't go by?
One contributor reported that a caller from 0290546603 addressed the business owner by his legal name rather than the name he uses day-to-day and has never used professionally. This suggests the caller was working from a database that may include legal name records rather than business contact information, which can lead to confusion or lack of trust.
