Father-in-law received a call asking for his status on his broadband, even though he had not lodged a call with anyone nor was he experiencing any issues. The individual said he was with Telstra but this is not my in laws service provider. The user appeared to be fishing for info. My savvy father-in-law hung up on him as the situation did not feel right. This was the third one in two days. When in doubt kill the call, do not offer up any info.

If your comfortable enough try reversing the situation and get their info but do not give yours. Then post what found out on sites like this.

Looks like the scammers are ramping up for christmas.
