Exact same reports as everyone else. PayPal scam saying that I have a payment request for 299$ and giving me options to press numbers. Robotic voice left me a voicemail. Dumb scam people.
Scam nominating they are PayPal wanting approval for a amount of money.
Same thing happened to me this afternoon.
Allowed call to go to voicemail. Upon reviewing voicemail message left claimed to be an automated message from PayPal and something about 299.99 amount direct debit refund blah blah blah press 1 then press 9 to speak to someone, blah. Otherwise SCAM!.
This number contacted me, claiming to be from PayPal. The call went directly to voicemail, and it mentioned a purchase I never made, providing several options to press numbers or call back. I believe this is fraudulent.
The caller announced it was an automated message from PayPal, instructing to press 1 to cancel a payment or 2 to speak with a representative.
