What Our Users Reviewed
I used Reverse AU after receiving a text message from "NAB AU" (no number appears, just the business name) saying a payee with a Vietnamese name has just been set up as a payee on my account (I Bank with CBA, not NAB), stating the time they were added and the date and if it wasn't me who added them, to call (02) 9053 7365 and quote REF: 399312.
I called the number (put my number on private & put the phone number in via my phone keypad (not by clicking on the number in the message) and it has what sounds like legit NAB prompts except it cuts off before getting to option 4 and goes straight to the "on hold" music without pressing anything. It also sounds like it has static type clicks in the recording as well. Then I looked up Reverse AU and saw that it has been listed as a scam number.
So don't click on the links or give out any info!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM and I'll be reporting them to the consumer watchdog and phishing scams agency after this review...
I'll also be contacting NAB fraud section to advise them of this so they can hopefully alert their customers of this.
NAB scammers.
