They left an automated voicemail message threatening that $299 would be deducted from my account unless I called them back. I found this quite alarming and will not be returning their call.
I received a call from this number today, stating that $299.99 would be debited from my account. I was then told to hold while being transferred to a customer service representative. This seemed dodgy, especially since I tried calling from another phone and received the same suspicious message, indicating this is a scam.
I got a recorded message that claimed I had made a $200 purchase. It sounded like a scam call to me!
After I called this number back, I was greeted with an automated message stating that EBAY was going to deduct $299.99 from my account. Then, I was transferred to an operator with a female voice that had an Asian accent, who asked if I had heard the message. When I mentioned that I had just received a missed call, and asked where she was located, she abruptly hung up on me.
