    Received a scam call from this number, which I did not answer. Comes up as Vodafone. Having spoken to Vodafone in the past, they have said they do not call their customers.

    I got a phone call from Vodafone AU, the number shows from Sydney. I spoke with a guy who has strong Indian accent. He didn’t clear my questions and kept asking me my details. I told him to call me back at noon.(I live in WA) if he is from Vodafone, he must know who he calls and have the customer details. So I would say this is scam. They sent me SMS after call but I don’t trust it either.

    Super suspicious. They claimed they were from Vodafone, offering "exciting Black Friday deals". Said they weren't going to ask for any private information unless going through with a transaction, then immediately asked me to confirm my name. They then promptly hung up when I told them I wouldn't.

    Its legit. They are people marketing or affiliate people that are calling to make offers so you can take and they make commission. Sound as scam cuz its Indian bihind phone:) I switched for my National Broadband Network for a bit cheaper, and everything was legit and fine. They are from Vodafone. Telemarketing contractors. They are still rining me tho after months. But cant be bother anymore. Blocked them.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
