Scam call asking me to press 1 about fraud on a credit card. I don't own a credit card so the scammer is very suss.
I was told the same thing. $1005 attempted charge to my card.
02890008783 used to inform me that a visa card transaction was being organised press 1 if it is not correct.
I did nothing checked bank a/c. No entry for $1000 visa pending. IT COULD BE A SCAM. I was also contacted through e/mail with a similar scam that GOT ME last year - fell for it. Not this time.
Masquerading as my internet provider suggest that my bill has been unpaid. Contacted internet provider - bill is up to date. This the trick I fell for last year and someone used my visa a/c $361-. It took 14 days for the bank to refund my money not theirs. You cannot be too careful!!
