    These guys do have my home address, but they do not have my email address.

    I don't get what actually mean due to the background noise and their rushing speech.

    I've already blocked the number on my phone.

    Repetitive calls, hang up when you answer. Why do they bother? What a waste of time for me and them.

    It's not ANZ directly, it's a company on behalf of ANZ trying to get people to buy insurance. ANZ obviously gave out customer numbers so they are definitely the ones to complain to.

    It's ANZ trying to talk to people about some information pack they're going to send out. They keep calling and I keep telling them I'm at work, yet keep calling at the same time. Usually have a foreign accent and a lot of background noise so it's hard to understand what they want.

    I have received "pushy" phone calls from ANZ customer service and rang ANZ's proper number who confirmed their identity.

    They called again (it might have been a different number the first time) and I gave them my email address just to get them off my back.

    Now I feel uneasy.

    Received a call from them and they sounded like your typical busy marketing call farm. Obviously working from a pushy, badly-written sales script with very little regard for the recipient's time and understanding. They just push information on you in order to keep you off-balance but engaged.

    After a few minutes I got fed up with the pushy attitude and said I would read through the material they sent and get back to them if I felt it was something I needed. The caller insisted that he could answer my concerns on the phone, but I insisted that I'd rather read about it and call them back *if I felt it necessary.*.

    At this point, the caller said that they were purely an outgoing service and that he would give me time to read their literature and call me back. I supplied no information and have since blocked the number.

    Goodbye and good riddance to this nuisance number.

    Say from ANZ... Asked if I have received a package from their something insurance department 2 weeks ago. When I said I don't think so, wanted me to give them my email address so they can send it through. They even have my address! I felt dodgy... Didn't give them any information. Called ANZ, confirmed they never called me!!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
