Female caller who claimed to be from National Broadband Network Co. Said they were testing the modem to see if this residence was suitable to do free upgrade to fiber to the house. Wanted to know how many devices were in use at the moment and could I turn the computer on and do a speed test, told her it was my son's computer and I did not have the password.

The caller claimed to be from Telstra technical support, stating that my internet connection's IP address had changed from "private to public." They instructed me to look up my IP address on "show my IP" before transferring me to a "technician." I'm concerned this could be a scam trying to get me to click on harmful links. Additionally, they used a number ending in 7620 as well.
