I had a message on my answer machine which said that either I or my retained legal representative was to call this number as they were going to take legal action against me for tax evasion. He said he was from the ATO headquarters in Canberra and not to disregard this matter as it is time sensitive matter. Am wondering what they are going to do when I get my legal representative to call them. I work for a Solicitors office.....
Got a phone call claiming it was from the federal tax office, claiming that legal procedings were against me because of unpaid tax. It is a scam. Why would the federal tax office from sydney be ringing me up? While I live in western australia.
