Told me her name was Melanie Smith (though she barely spoke English) from Telstra and that my internet speed was low. When I asked why it mattered when it is not used at that specific time of day she changed her story to someone overseas was trying to use my IP address and that I should go to some random website to to test my security. When I asked her why I had to use a site other than official Telstra sites, she hung up. Called the number back as I had a hunch it was a scam call, and the number was registered as ‘not in use’.
