Oi! These blokes called me and hung up faster than a kangaroo on a trampoline as soon as I said ‘hello’. You’ve gotta be kidding! Can't they come up with a better scam than the 'hang up and run' strategy? What a joke!
So I picked up this call thinking it was legit, but it turned out to be some nonsense about fibre installation service from NBN. Almost fell for it but then realised, thanks to this site, that I dodged a bullet! These people must be making a killing from personal info, what a joke!
I picked up the phone, and this Asian woman claimed to be from NBN, saying my provider set up an appointment for a tech visit next week. When I asked her to tell me my provider's name, she had no clue and even had to look it up! I don't recognize this company either. I told her I thought she was a scammer, and she just hung up. Checked with my provider - surprise, surprise, they never contacted NBN. Total scam alert!
I got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent, asking for my details for an FTP. When I asked for more info, she just brushed me off saying she couldn't confirm without my input. Sounds dodgy to me!
“Got a call from someone claiming to be with NBN about an upgrade. They were all over the place and definitely didn’t stick to my preferred timing. Hard to catch anything with that thick Indian accent!”
I just got a proper call from NBN about my installation. Nothing dodgy here!
I got a call from this number, and you know what? It was actually a legit chat from the NBN folks! They mistakenly labelled themselves as 'Google' but had all my details right—name and address. No dodgy info needed either; they’re just prepping for the FTTP upgrade. Quite impressed, really!
I saw the number and just knew it was dodgy. When I checked my voicemail later, this fast-talking woman was on there – sounds like a total scammer to me!
Got a dodgy call about NBN installation; they went quiet when they were meant to say their name. Cut the convo and blocked 'em – no thanks!
