What Our Users Reviewed
Yes, Got my message today but if you listen carefully it is a mixture of American and Indian accents. Really laughable.
Same as above: Rob Lawson, etc, told to call back on this number, ended up here.
DEFINITELY A SCAM! I guess they forgot to make it private when they called, so I called them back. I then got a guy claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office, who then had me spell my last name about 30 times - He then asked for my address and when I refused to give it to him, he rattled off a list of addresses hoping I would say yes to one. I then said I did not trust the number and hung up on him. THEN -- Later in the evening I received a call from an unknown number. Same guy, same background noise. He kept repeating in a very nasty tone "Why did you call me" and "did my girlfriend get you to call me" - after me asking who the f&(* was on the phone, he then proceeded to verbally abuse me.
Same as all the above ended up here to check it's a SCAM.
Same as above. Claiming to be from Australian Taxation Office. Laughable to me since I work at the ATO and we do not leave messages like this. Second message we received, about two months apart.
I got a call from this number - called it back and they told me they could not access the system yet he still asked for my name and the state I cam from - he said that Victoria offices only work to 3.45pm! What a load of rubbish - This is difinately a SCAM of some sort so beware!
I'm from country WA and I received same message today on my landline, was a bit suspicious so typed in number on internet and ended up here.
I am from geelong and received three calls on answering machine with same details as the others.
Same as previous comment - man with American accent called "Ron Lawson" saying a petition had been filed against me and I needed to call before I got arrested.
This is a scam. It is a recorded message with an American accent. 'Ron Lawson'claims to be from the legal department of the Australian Taxation Office. It then states that a legal petition has been made against you for tax fraud and you should call them back before it appears before the courts or you are arrested.
