I have had 5 messages on my answering machine from this number demanding me to call them because I have been involved in tax evasion. Had to turn my machine off.
I, too, have had the Australian Taxation Office scare calls. I initially got the automated female voice voice, saying I had to ring back to prevent it being downloaded??? To the courts.. The call ended in God bless... These calls came every day or twice a day for 2 weeks.
Then I have had "Jason O'Connor" threatening similar.2 calls a day...
Yes I has the ATO tax avoidance call also. Just report it to the ATO government website.
I had an automated voice message left on my answering machine. A person named Matthew Logan said he was from the ATo, I had a tax debt and that I would be prosecuted and arrested if I didn't call him back on (02) 8607-5071. The voice did not specifically refer to me or anyone in my house by name or leave any kind of reference number. I have tried calling the number but it simply rings out.
Message left on my answering machine, itself a recording, pretending to be from??? Taxation Office (first bit not recorded as my answering machine must have played its message). Tries to frighten me with tax avoidance and tax fraud. Wants me to phone above number (02 8607 5072).
Yes I received a voice message saying they from ATO, thank goodness I listened to my brother that it could be a scan and I am checking it up online.
This has saved me a lot of tears as I was really scared about getting arrested.
Auto Voice message claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office saying I'm being audited and they have received all the mail sent back to them from my address and if I do not call back a warrant will be issued for my arrest.
