WRITE A REVIEWFrequently Asked Questions
Why would someone call my unlisted number without leaving a message?
The contributor's experience with 02 8552 8161 suggests several possibilities: the caller may be testing whether the number is active (common in scam operations building target lists), conducting reconnaissance before a more targeted approach, or using automated systems that dial lists without genuine contact intent. Legitimate businesses almost always leave voicemail messages explaining their purpose.
Is 02 8552 8161 definitely a scam?
Not necessarily confirmed. The single report on 0285528161 describes suspicious behaviour (calling an unlisted number without leaving a message) rather than an explicit scam attempt. However, this pattern warrants caution. If you receive calls from 02 8552 8161, avoid engaging and block if the calls repeat. Additional community reports would help clarify this number's intent.
What should I do if 02 8552 8161 calls me repeatedly?
If 0285528161 calls multiple times: block the number in your phone settings, report each call to ACMA at acma.gov.au, register your number on the Do Not Call Register at donotcall.gov.au, and report your experience on Reverseau. Document the dates and times of calls for your records.
How did they get my unlisted number?
The report on 02 8552 8161 suggests the caller obtained the unlisted number through data sourcing, possibly from a data breach, shared contact list, or public records. Unlisted numbers are often targeted by scammers specifically because they're less likely to be registered on the Do Not Call Register.
Should I answer if 02 8552 8161 calls again?
No. Let the call go to voicemail. If 0285528161 leaves a message, listen to it but do not return the call unless you can independently verify the caller's identity through an official website or publicly listed number. Never provide personal information to unknown callers.
Where can I report 02 8552 8161 to authorities?
Report calls from 0285528161 to ACMA (acma.gov.au) for unwanted calling complaints, Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au) if a scam is involved, and the Do Not Call Register (donotcall.gov.au) to opt out of future marketing calls.
