Today's call was a young Asian male stating he was from Optus & because I was a good customer of theirs I could receive a 50% discount on my phone bill. I hung up immediately.
As I received 2 calls yesterday from the same people but different last 4 digits of phone number yesterday. The below is what I wrote about those calls:-
BEWARE OF THESE CALLS -SCAMMERS.
This number was not known to me. When I answered a young Asian male identified he was calling from Optus. That his reason for the call was to offer me a 50% discount on the next 6 months of my phone bill?
I'm not with Optus and felt it was a spam caller! So I told the caller politely I wasn't interest and goodbye and ended the call..
Then I couldn't believe 5 minutes later I get another call from the same number. I answered the call and this time it was a young Asian female, who said she was calling from Optus. Again stating I had been a good customer of Optus and would like to offer me a 50% discount on my bill for the next six months.
I stated I wasn't interested and hung up! Now I know these people where phishing for details to scam customers of Optus.. As I'm not even with Optus!
Please don't accept calls from these people!
