I just had the misfortune of receiving a scam call from these jokers claiming to be from Telestra. Like, who even falls for that anymore? Be careful, mates!

Caller impersonated to be from National Broadband Network calling on behalf of Telstra. They knew my name which was concerning. Sounded like a scam and got off the phone as I don't use Telstra. Contacted my actual internet provider who advised National Broadband Network would never contact customers directly, and any National Broadband Network issues will be via the internet provider.

This number contacted me yesterday (a Sunday) at around midday. I didn’t answer the call, I rejected it. I received a voicemail message soonafter informing me that my mobile number would be out of service in approximately 2 hours and urged me to follow prompts. There were two options; English explanation, and Chinese explanation. Obviously a scam. I received another call today from another 02 number which left me an identical voicemail.

The call I received from this number was clearly spam. The message stated that my phone service would be terminated in two hours, which is completely ridiculous. To make matters worse, the automated speaker transitioned to Mandarin, leaving me bewildered and frustrated.
