A person called me saying they were from my bank and needed to authorize a transaction, but I do not have an account with the bank they claimed to represent. I kept them on the line for a while, which made them frustrated, and they eventually hung up on me.
I hung up on this number, but then they called me again and hung up immediately. When I tried to call them back, I could not contact them, so I have blocked the number.
I did not answer the call as they left no message. This number seems to be one of those pest callers, so I have blocked it.
I had the same experience where it was Olivia telling me I had just had someone wanting to remove $1800 from my account from Commonwealth. I don’t even bank with them and it was a recorded message. Definite scam.
Line was very patchy and difficult to hear clearly, however I did hear female caller say something about unauthorised charges on a card that made me suspicious.
I asked her to call me back which did not happen.
