I just got a call from 02 8529 5783 (NSW). I’m currently in QLD and don’t know the number or caller. It started off with an automated AI voice and said something about my voda phone (which I don’t have) being used incorrectly before I hung up as it seems like a spam call. Pretty confident it’s spam.

When I answered the call, the voice was very distorted, almost like a poor phone connection. The caller mentioned they had tried to reach me multiple times and instructed me to press two for English.

A woman called claiming to be from the Australian Border Force, stating that a package I supposedly sent was being held up at customs in China. Since I have never sent anything to China, I suspect this was a scam, so I told her I believed it was a scam and hung up.

An individual posing as a representative from Amazon contacted me, claiming that they would deduct $99 from my account. This is a phishing scam aimed at obtaining personal details through deception.
