I was called from this number today & person said they were from credit card fraud & did I know $600 had been spent on my Amazon account. I was a bit thrown by this because only hours beforehand I'd lost my kindle & had been on a chat with Amazon personnel working out how to deregister it. Anyway when I said my kindle had been lost she said something inane & hung up. I probably shouldn't have said anything but I was caught off guard. I've removed all cards from my Amazon account now & deregistered my kindle so hopefully that will provide protection.
