I received a call from an unknown caller, and they did not leave a message after the call.
I received a call from the number (02) 8527 2282, where the caller claimed to be from PayPal. They stated that they had blocked an attempted access to my PayPal account and urged me to call them back. When I returned the call, they answered as PayPal and proceeded to ask numerous personal questions under the pretense of helping me prevent a scammer from accessing my account or bank details in the future. This call seemed very elaborate and suspicious, indicating it might be a scam.
I got a recorded voice message about a supposed purchase request of $299.39 from PayPal. The message instructed me to press #1 to cancel, which doesn’t make sense since you cannot interact with a recording this way. I believe this is a complete scam, especially since legitimate PayPal communications do not include unsolicited calls about canceling orders.
I received a call that left a recorded voice message claiming to be from PayPal. The message stated that they had received a purchase request for around two hundred dollars, but I do not have a PayPal account. I believe this is a scam and ignored the rest of the message.
