Got a call from 02 8417 3039 on 21/11/16 I did not answer. Bot left a message threatening Optus lawsuit. I was told to ring the above number.

They are ringing daily and leave an automated message on my answering machine saying they are the ATO and that they are launching a lawsuit against me. When I called back (blocking my caller ID) they refused to give me their address (they say Google it) or make an appointment to see me but asked for my personal details and hung up when I refused to do so over the phone.
If this number calls you hang up straight away. The caller used the name of David Brown and said he was from the ATO Criminal investigations unit. I have checked and there is no such department. Remeber if the ATO has an issue with you they will always send you a letter first asking you to contact them. They never make threatening or cold calls. Don't be afraid if this caller he is a fake. Never give any personal information over the phone to anyone.
