Understanding the Nature of the Calls from 02 8332 0945
The phone number 02 8332 0945 / 0283320945 has triggered a flurry of discussions among users, categorising it as both a potential telemarketer and a source of confusion regarding scam tactics. Reports indicate a blend of experiences, where some individuals have successfully identified the number as a legitimate taxi service, while others remain wary due to missed calls paired with unsolicited messages.
User Reports: A Mixed Bag
Many users have taken to platforms like Reverseau to share their experiences. A prominent review from 26 May 2022 expresses distrust, admonishing that a legitimate caller should not shy away from leaving a voicemail if their intent is genuine. This user's frustration is evident, especially since the call was reportedly made late at night and from a different area code, raising red flags.
Contrarily, a subsequent review from 29 May 2022 directly contradicts the initial claim, identifying the number as belonging to a taxi company confirming a booking made through their app, 13CABS. This suggests that the number may indeed be affiliated with a legitimate service.
The Scam Warning
The landmark review on 5 July 2022 introduces further complications. The user received unsolicited SMS messages containing verification codes and links, which, while possibly related to a taxi confirmation, indicates the potential for phishing scams when paired with missed calls. The uncertainty accompanying these messages raises crucial concerns about how the number should be classified.
Classification: Legit or Scam?
Given the contrasting accounts, 02 8332 0945 / 0283320945 can be classified as suspicious. While it is established to be linked to a taxi service, the presence of unsolicited messages and missed calls lends credence to the theory that this number could also be exploited by malicious actors intending to scam unsuspecting individuals.
How to Handle Calls and Messages from 02 8332 0945
- Always verify the legitimacy of unexpected calls, particularly if they concern financial transactions or personal information.

What Our Users Reviewed
I received SMS messages containing a verification code and a link about a taxi confirmation, coupled with several missed calls from this number. Similar to other reports, I have not booked any taxi services, suggesting that the links in the messages could be part of a scam.
I believe this number is related to a taxi service, specifically a callback from 13 Cabs in my case.
This call was from a taxi company confirming the booking details for a taxi that I had scheduled through the 13CABS app.
I'm calling this a scam. I received 2 calls within 5 minutes of each other.11 pm on a Friday night, from a Sydney number I don't know, no message. Why would you wait til you get to messagebank and NOT leave a message??? They still get charged the connection fee... Free money if it's a spoofed number I suppose. Another aussie site suggests it might be 13CABS calling to confirm a booking... But I've never had a confirmation call, nor have I had any calls from a cab company and NOT had a message left.
This number called me twice without leaving a message. I find it suspicious as they rang my phone at 11 PM, and since I don't live in Sydney, I am considering it a scam until they provide a legitimate reason or leave a message.
