Hey mate, this number seems legit! Don't hesitate to give them a bell back if you want to.
The call from this number is definitely a scam that misleads individuals for fraudulent purposes.
This number is associated with scammers who seem to leverage UBS deliveries. They claim that purchases under $1000 incur no import or GST fees and advertise 99.9% pure bullion. I received just one ring from this number, followed by a text message with a biller code. Be aware, as legitimate duty notifications come via direct email, not as a follow-up after a delivery notice.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from UPS; however, I have never placed any online orders from outside Australia. I believe this is an outright scam.
I got a call on Saturday regarding an import duty that I supposedly needed to pay, followed by an email. While the email appeared unprofessional and may look like a scam, I have confirmed it is actually legitimate.
This phone number appears to belong to a UPS worker who might be scamming customers for money.
Genuine call from UPS about payment due for customs duties on imports.
After calling UPS using their official number 131 877, I found out that the contact requesting payment of import duty was actually legitimate. However, the way they addressed me as "Dear Client" and their overall communication style was very unprofessional and scam-like, which is unexpected from an international carrier like UPS. This might indicate they are outsourcing their services to offshore call centers.
Phone rang and before I could even but on screen call it hung up but then about 2 mins later I got a text from 0447100266 saying your UPS shipment has incure fees of.... And biller pay detail. So definetly consistant with what others said about UPS scam.
After missing a call from this number, I received a text saying I had a voicemail. Shortly afterward, I got another text from a different number (0447 100 266), stating that I have a UPS shipment with a tracking number that incurred an import fee of almost $3,000 AUD, instructing me to make a payment via EFT to a Citibank account. This clearly appears to be a scam, as I typically pay import duties as part of my purchases with UPS.
A woman called me, purporting to be from UPS, demanding payment for shipping before my item would be delivered. This is a clear SCAM.
I received a call from this number and requested that they send the information via email. The email included all the correct shipping details and appeared to be from UPS. I completed my payment through Bpay without issues, suggesting that this interaction was valid. However, I acknowledge that similar calls could be spoofed in the future, so I remain cautious.
The caller claimed that I owed money due to an import tax and knew my name, my company's name, and mentioned that I was expecting a package from overseas. I believe this is a scam.
This was a legitimate call from UPS regarding duties I needed to pay on an import. They later followed up with an email that included an invoice. I missed the call, but they did leave a detailed message.
UPS Scammer - do not answer.
I received a suspicious call regarding an import duty. The subsequent emails I received had incorrect information, poor grammar, and included emojis, which made them look unprofessional. I advise blocking this number immediately.
After some investigation, I found out that the number belongs to a UPS delivery service. I expected them to leave a voicemail, but they did not.
The phone only rang once before hanging up, and I chose not to return the call.
UPS, collecting import tax fees.
I noticed a comment below claiming this number is a scam but it is not. It is the United States Postal Service and they were letting me know I needed to pay import fees to clear my package through customs. Which I did and then safely received my package. Hope this helps.
Called me that my package needed $250 to clear customs... I screamed scam and told her to f.o. and never call me again.
