Got two calls from this number recently, don't know who they are

A male voice claiming to be from World Animal Protection phoned me at 6.15 pm tonight trying to persuade me to donate for bears been used for bile. As much as I sympathise for these poor animals I still felt unsure about this call. He wanted me to hunt for my bank statement and he would wait. I accidentally (on purpose) disconnected the call and checked the website for the official contact information. The phone number was different. I decided there and then that it was possibly a scam. Pleased that I made the right choice.
