    This number is legit - left a message to call my bank with possible fraudulent transactions. Rang my bank using number on the back of the credit card and yes, someone was trying to use my card in the USA.

    Not a scam. But if in doubt, call your bank using the phone number found on the bank's website and ask them to confirm the number is genuine. This is a legitimate fraud detection company contracted by smaller banks who don't have their own fraud team. I was suspicious when contacted by this number, but they didn't ask for any personal details.

    Caller, Susie following suspect withdrawal in US on my Visa Card, connect with PayPal fraud on fake invoices. My card is cancelled so I can get access to funds by applying for a prepaid Visa linked to savings account.

    Real company. I bought some crypto and they were checking if I was scammed. They had full access of my bank history just from my phone number.

    If your credit card is compromised your bank calls you not this number. Don’t be fooled by fake comments here, they are only attempting to look bona-fide. Block the number and call yor bank if you have any concerns about credit card fraud - simple. Otherwise you will soon learn first hand that scams like this one are credit frauds themselves.

    This is a legitimate Fraud Department (Cuscal Ltd) that calls on behalf of multiple Australian Banks - had a missed call and a message to call them - staff were helpful and very understanding when I was hesitant to give any details - suggested if I wasn't comfortable to call the bank directly - which I did and there was a hold on my card because of a suspected fraudulent transaction.

    Turned out to be a fraud company based in Sydney. I have rung them and also had my bank ring them, BUT they are slack and I am still waiting for a call from them. Back to my bank again today. Not real impressed.

    Voice message left and I contacted my CU directly and there was a suspicious transaction from US that I hadn’t authorised so had to cancel my Visa card. So yes legitimate call.

    Geniune call from Fraud watchdog that my bank employs to phone if there is a strange transaction on my card. I didn't answer the call but phoned my bank to check and my bank was able to go through transactions with me as they can see the notes left by Cuscal Fraud to confirm which transactions they were concerned with. I had bought a couple of things off Amazon which I had never done before so they just wanted to check. Phone your bank though cause Cuscal if overly concerned can put a stop on your card to make it safe.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
