What Our Users Reviewed
Abusive and called twice, slight accent maybe filipino.
Yes, a phishing expedition. Claimed to be from the Security and Exchange Commission, wanting to know if I had authorised a with drawl from my account with the Coin Exchange (which I don't have).
They then wanted to send an accountant to my home to sort out the problem. Heavily accented male caller started to lose interest when I said put your problem in writing and mail it to me. I find the latter challenge works well as it gives nothing away.
The caller, who had a Filipino accent, claimed to be from a Security and Exchange office regarding an account. However, I do not have any accounts with them. I received a similar call last week stating I had unclaimed money, which makes me believe this is a scam.
I can confirm this number is definitely a scammer. When I called back, I received a message saying the number is not connected, which raises further suspicions.
