Let’s analyse the situation based on user feedback and offer guidance on how to proceed.

Is 02 8271 7015 / 0282717015 a Scam?

Based on two user reports dated 2nd July and 4th July 2024, it's reasonable to classify 02 8271 7015 / 0282717015 as a suspicious caller.

  • Claim to Represent Telstra: A user reported that their call was initiated by someone named “Rachel,” who claimed to be contacting them regarding internet services on behalf of Telstra. Received a call from "Rachel", claiming to be from Telstra and "calling you about your internet". The line was initially unclear and I didn't catch her initial greeting, so the above is was what she said after I said "Sorry, who is this?" I'm not certain whether she had my name or not. When I then said "What's the problem?" she immediately hung up.
