If its a real first time caller they will keep ringing for a longer time. It's interesting to see Getup mentioned here, I had what may have been a related phishing call on my landline recently. They said they were from Getup and wanted to check information on a donation regarding a political campaign. I confirmed what they could have got from an electoral roll but I became suspicious when they wanted to double check my email address and I asked them what they had listed and they said they were not given that information.
I got a Spam call from these people which went to message bank. When I called back, it said "you just got an (unsolicited) call from Better Power company... ".
This is spam.
