So I got this message a while back from someone pretending to be St George. I wasn't convinced it was legit, so I blocked it. Then today, I get another automated call claiming to be from St George again! They even had my full name. Told me to press 1 for a message, but I just hung up. Had a quick peek at my account through the St George app and saw we were behind on payments, so now I'm not sure if it’s legit or dodgy.
This is the second time they’ve dialed me. I checked with my bank’s fraud department, and guess what? Total scam! They might hit me up with texts or emails chock-full of dodgy links. Best advice? Hang up and reach your bank directly through the app if you suspect any trouble!
I got a call supposedly from St George, and I've had a similar dodgy one from NAB as well. I’ve got accounts with both banks, and I’m not behind on anything! They used my full name, trying to sound all official, but none of these numbers are legit for either bank. Just hang up and block 'em, alright?
