Just got a call saying an eBay purchase of $399 was going to be made associated with my bank card and if I did not want to go ahead then follow a prompt.

Then got transferred to an Indian lady “Mary Elizabeth” confirming if I didn’t want a charge to go through; started telling me to download an app called Anydesk so she got get remote access and I said “No because I don’t have an eBay account and I will be calling my bank instead”.

She got tense and said “Bit the account is linked with your phone number and if you don’t do it this way it will be charged“.

I just hung up!!!

First came through as artificial voice telling me I would need to talk to an Amazon employee to cancel my prime subscription and then allowed me to go to a person who asked me to download Zoho assist which is notorious for scammer usage. When I hung up the caller attempted to call me on 6 different numbers all from Australia and NZ.
