**I assume they pretend to be from eBay and talk you into handing out your bank details **

I received an email, supposedly from eBay, with the subject "Order Dispatched: Tracking Info Enclosed".

The content was a good copy of an eBay shipping note for an "Acer Ultra-Slim i7" laptop for AU$567.00.

In the description it has the sneaky sentence: "If you did not place this order, please call us on +61 2 8091 4456. To report this to our fraud protection team." and further down another one: "In case you don’t receive your order from the seller(s) or if it is delivered in an unsatisfactory condition, you can reach out to us through eBay Guarantee* on +61 2 8091 4456."

The sender was a 'someone', definitely no eBay email address.

This number is linked to a fraudulent eBay delivery attempt, which I suspect is a scam.
