This numbers calls at least 5 times a day attempting to get to to give them access to my details and computer. Nothing works with them asking them to stop calling politely; shaming them; humiliation; swearing at them, asking for their names and engaging them in some form of conversation; hanging up. Nothing works. Totally shameless.

BEWARE Just received a call from an Asian person reporting to be from Telstra that my computer had been hacked and they were going to terminate my internet connection. When I asked for a number to call back to confirm they gave me this number and (02) 80912436 with an address of 215 Miller St Nth Sydney.

Its a scam to let them get access to your computer.

Hi anonymous, I wrote the previous comment before yours. More than likely they might use your D.O.B in the future, BE AWARE of scams. Yes rose brown tried the scam with me exactly as yours, but I strung him out that far that he called me back half a dozen times trying to get a B.S.B number off me. As I stated, make up any numbers regarding your banking details, NOT YOUR OWN.e.gcredit and debit cards might have 16 numbers, Make up your own numbers, B.S.B numbers, make your own. Keep it handy for assholes like rose brown &co.you should ring and say your from the AFP(Australian federal police) its good fun.

Got the same call today asked for date of birth, to make sure they had the right person. Stupid me did hand that over, then he gave me a Ref number and a phone number to call his manager to have the money sent by check. Managers name Rose Brown and Alice Wilson. Didn't ring the number checked this site first, glad I did don't know if they got what they wanted but really hope they ring back so I can have a little chat to them.

What makes you think that the scammers are not watching this forum to better their scams?? Fortunately, my wife and I love to take these assholes on. If they ask you for personel details, like bank detail's, d.o.b, mothers maiden name, GIVE THEM SHIT. Make up any numbers BUT DO NOT GIVE THEM any hint of your personel details. The trick is to play along with them, and give them nothing. Also if you get a 0280913550. Play along with them, then call them back and say your from the A.F.P and would like to their supervisor. Amazing results they hang up straight away. GREAT FUN FOR ANY AGE.

Got a call earlier today - identical details as previously reported on this page and others. He had the cheek to call me back a short while ago. I let him have it - both barrels! Suggested he Google the Sydney number he'd given us all and read our comments. I was very angry!

Same same.

Asian female, obviously in a loud call centre, bad line.

They wanted my DOB (didn't), wanted to know which bank I used the most (said none of the above).

Asked how I wanted the money, transfer ... check. I said check, thinking that would stop them.

Then they game me a Ref ID SP154 and said I should call this number to talk to her manager who would authorise the check.

Obvious scam. I could use the $7000 tho LOL.

Just received a call from this number asking to speak with a W. Plus our family name. Turns out this idiot had no idea what the W stood for, even after I suggested a few names including W@%ker! He has a heavy accent and was hard to understand, but he had the same story that the government had over charged us. Just hang up on him.
