I was visiting with my elderly neighbour when she also received a call about receiving a refund and told to call this number (02) 80913202 When they asked for her date of birth I told her to give her mine and to not give them the name of her back she put the call on Speaker phone and we took down all the information I then called on my mobile and asked who they were they kept saying Federal government Finance Department, I am happy to announce that my neighbour was certainly not gullible enough to follow through and did not offer any of her correct details. When she gave my date of birth they hung up realising that there was a discrepancy in their information I am 20 years her junior. I then told her to contact the both banks she uses and to give them all the information. Yes it is a scam they are all giving very Anglicised names yet all have very pronounced Indian Accents, Secondly The Federal Government and their departments NEVER EVER cold call there is no Federal Government Department just Called Financial Returns.
