Just received a text message saying it was a commbank verification code for commbank access. If you didn't request this code, please call us on 0280911289 urgently and then a REF: code number. Called the number and they sound really legit but he then sent me a link that I was supposed to put into my browser to verify myself. I had to add. Com to the end of it though. I hung up on them right then.

I received a suspicious SMS message containing a code, instructing me to call Commbank at (02) 8091 1289 if I didn't request this code. The sender's name had an unusual extra quotation mark, and the message was repeated twice with the same code—something a legitimate bank would never do.
