This is a call from an automated scam Bot (you can tell by the robotic accent), just to scam people. Do NOT respond to any claims / demands from these scammers.
Some lowlife has created this to victimise and launder money.
I just received a voicemail on my landline from a lady called Stella Dawson claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office. She said I had a lawsuit filed against my name (which wasn't said) & current legal action is being taken against me & my identification! She had an Indian accent & I had to call this number back. I called & it rang out. I'm very relieved to hear this number is some scammers!! Absolute scum these people!!
One of my clients has just rang advising that he returned a telephone call to this number following a message left on his home answering machine. The caller, a woman by the name of Stella, spoke with an Asian accent and purported to be from the ATO and was calling about some outstanding debt. The return call was answered by a man with an American accent who clearly was not from the ATO. Luckily my client hung up. Callers from this number are clearly lowlife scumbag criminals interested in only scamming other people's hard earned funds.
Got a message on the machine from this number from a woman with a strong indian accent. Called herself Jessica Smith and said she was from the Consular of the Australian taxation office and then the federal taxation office. She informed us (referring to me my surname and initial) that there was an arrest warrant out for me and I needed to call back. Tried to call but the it rang twice and hung up. By the sounds of it she has her consular and departments mixed up!
Received message left on my phone on 27 March 2015 - woman with very heavy accent and hard to understand but said she was from Australian Immigration and there was a legal issue and gave this number and a case number for me to call back, I did try to ring the number but it would ring twice then go to busy signal. There was no reference to my name or any other personal information in the message so very strange.
I received a message on my landline from "Mary" at the ATO saying there had been a case filed against me and I needed to call back. She could barely speak English and had a very strong Indian Accent. Very obviously a scam. Pays to screen your calls.
Got call from this number claiming to be from ATO.
Got a message left on answering machine saying he was from ATO and calling to let us know there was an arrest warrant out and we should call back immediately with a case number to "release" the arrest warrant. Yeah maybe not.
Got a voice message last on my machine this. Said they were from the ATO and there is an arrest warrant out for me. Referred to me by my initial and surname. They left this number and a reference number and asked to call back.

Someone named Mary Smith called up & said she is from ATO saying bullshit stuff which I could not understand. Then she said police will come to you with a notice etc etc. I got pissed off & told her to do what she wants.
Yes, I just got call from this number as well and told me if I have an issue with the dept. Of immigration and will send the Federal Police to come to me. Can't really understand what they are talking about and when I keep asking more questions about it, they are getting unfriendly and raised up his voice.

It's a scam people calling from this number are unprofessional. They threatening me by informing me my arrest warrant has been issued n they have received my complaints from the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY. And I should note down the case file number. Also she was shouting at me to note the case nbr when I asked to just stop shouting at me as I am not her slave she just hung up. LOL.
I received a call from this number on 16th Marth 2015. Guy posed as immigration and border security. Did not know anything at all and was just trying to grab information from me. Tried to threaten me saying I am under surveillance, even said if I hungup Cops will storm at my door step in 45 minutes Bla bla bla!

Got two messages on my land line. Claiming that are from Dept. Of immigration and that I must give a call to this number. I didn't. Is this a scam ?
They even left a threatning message on my mobile. Called about 5 times. I reported to police link. Easiest answer I gues is I have told police and then hang up.

Got a phone first time no caller id second time third fourt.... This number told same thing as above violation of things and Australian federal police will arrest you. They say call is monitored recorded and if you hang up you will be charged!! Told to send email, said no, They are non English speaking background persons. I was threatened!!
Called and pretended to be from Dept of immigration. Said Police was on the way. Couldn't even give an address in Australia. LOL!!!
They say criminal charges had been charged bec had not paid tax. Police is coming between 30mins to 1 hr to arrest. Later, they'll say Outside court resolution - pay $2k.
