This is a scam caller, pretends to be a recoveries for Telstra Account.. When you call back it then asks you to phone back a 1800 number, this number sounds like a Telstra message, but when it’s answered they ask you for all your details account numbers and dob without first sending you a security text number.: when questioned about this they said I had to give them my info first, which is absolutely not true. Don’t fall for this!
I WISH I had checked here before calling them back and being sent a one time code to find out what it was about.
Said my account is overdue but not true. I’ve always been in credit and while they were “transferring me to billing” I jumped onto reveresau and saw all these reviews. Uggghgh. Don’t know if I’ve been compromised or not but definitely Not Happy.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra and mentioned they had an important message for me. They knew my name and asked me to press '1' for more information. The entire interaction had a suspicious feel to it, so I opted not to engage.
I contacted Telstra customer service regarding this call and was informed that it is a scam call.
After contacting Telstra to verify this number, I can confirm that this is a SCAM. Please be cautious and do not engage.
I have received multiple spam calls from this number about Telstra services. My account is perfectly fine, and it’s clear this is a scam. I recommend blocking this number to avoid further calls.
I have received several calls from this number. During the calls, an automated voice claims to be from Telstra. After checking reports on this site, I noticed many users believe this could be a tactic to recover overdue payments, but I am current with all my payments. Therefore, I do not trust this number at all.
I have received multiple calls from this number, sometimes several times a day. After searching the number online, I found numerous complaints about it. I’m relieved that I didn’t answer it.
"Specialised Recoveries" - these are parasites and phone spammers that collect debts for Telstra. NEVER answer their calls and reject all calls from this number immediately. Add to your "blocked" numbers function in your mobile.
Thank you! I can confirm this worked. I pressed 5 to inform them I was not the person to talk to and the harassing calls have now stopped from this number. Well done!
OK, everybody here needs to RELAX a little bit.
This is actually Telstra calling you regarding an outstanding bill.
They are calling the nominated contact person on the account.
In my case, I no longer worked for the company Telstra were calling about, but Telstra still had my contact details in that account.
THE CALL IS AUTOMATED AND WILL CONTINUE TO CALL YOU RELENTLESSLY UNTIL YOU ACCEPT THE CALL, PRESS 1 TO CONTINUE AND THEN PRESS 5 TO ADVISE TELSTRA THAT YOU ARE NO LONGER THE CONTACT PERSON FOR THE ACCOUNT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE THEM ANY PERSON INFORMATION.
THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN MAKE THEM STOP CALLING YOU.
I received a call from (02) 8070 2249 claiming that I have an overdue account with Telstra. They had my name and birth year, and I have reported this call to Telstra. I'm not optimistic about them resolving this issue.
I have received multiple calls from this number today and at the same time last month. The calls seem to be automated, and I've never answered because the voicemail is robotic. I have blocked the number due to its suspicious nature.
This number called me five times today claiming to be from Telstra. When I returned the call with my number blocked, an automated message answered, saying, “Hi, thanks for calling Specialized Recoveries. Please enter your phone number and postcode and I will retrieve your account.” This is definitely a scam, and I have since blocked the number.
I've been inundated with calls from this number, receiving dozens each week. I've blocked it for my peace of mind. During one call, they prompted me to press 1 to verify my identity, but I refused to do so. It's important to note that no legitimate recovery service has the right to use automated messages to ask for personal information. This is definitely a massive scam, and I appreciate this platform which helps me verify suspicious numbers.
I received a call claiming to be from Telstra, instructing me to press 1. It is clearly a fraudulent call. I have received multiple calls from this number, which I have since blocked, as it seems to be associated with spammy behavior.

This number called me multiple times and eventually sent an SMS claiming to be from Telstra with an urgent message. I confirmed with Telstra that there was no message for me and that this number is a nuisance caller impersonating them.
I have been receiving multiple calls daily from this number. When I finally answered, a robotic voice claimed to be from Telstra and surprisingly had my full name and date of birth. I felt uncomfortable when they continued to ask for additional personal information, so I hung up and called Telstra directly. They informed me that there was no record of anyone trying to contact me. This definitely seems like a scam.
I received two calls from this number. The first was missed, and they did not leave a voicemail. During the second call, I answered, but when they requested to confirm my date of birth, I hung up. There was no voicemail left, and the call involved asking for personal information, which is suspicious. I consider this a scam!
I received five calls this morning, each time a robocall from Telstra instructing me to press 1. They claimed they weren't telemarketers, but I found it to be very annoying. I have now blocked the number as it seems to be a prank.
This number has called me twice despite my prepaid account having no outstanding bills. When I answered, they put me on hold, and I found their behavior rude, so I hung up after a short wait.
I received three missed calls from this number, all without any voicemail left. When I returned the call, an automated voice identified the company as Specialized Recoveries. A quick online search revealed that this company was deregistered in 2016, indicating this call is most likely a scam.
This harassment continues! I've had four missed calls from this number today alone. Although I didn't answer, it appears they left a voicemail this time. If it turns out to be Telstra calling, I want to clarify that my account is up to date. I advise everyone to block this number to avoid further disturbances.
I received a call from this number, but I do not even have an account with Telstra. This is clearly a scam call.
I got a call that didn't ring and left a robotic message from a company called Specialized Recoveries, urging me to call another number immediately. The vague nature of the message makes me suspect it's a scam.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from "Telstra." They accurately knew my year of birth and claimed that I had an outstanding amount of $750. Feeling suspicious, I hung up. This caller has contacted me six times already. According to the Telstra app, my account is fully up to date and there are no outstanding payments.
The caller had knowledge of my correct birth year, which raises my concerns about the legitimacy of their call.
The caller claimed to have my birth year as 873 and asked me to provide my complete date of birth. If they were genuinely from Telstra, they would have my correct birth year. Additionally, they referred to me as "Mrs," which I have never been in relation to Telstra. This is clearly a scam call, and they have been persistently calling me for five days, at least three times a day. I want these calls to stop immediately!
This number has been persistently calling my mobile phone. I have chosen not to answer any of the calls, as I suspect it's not legitimate.
I received a recorded message stating it was a call from Telstra. It’s quite clear this is a scam, and I believe it should be reported to the relevant authorities known as ‘The Watchdog’.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number, and each time I hang up on them. I’ve blocked them to stop the persistent calls.
They start "This is not a telemarketing call, press 1 to continue" and then they hang up because they are leaving a message on my voicemail.
Specialized recovery (whatever that means) keep calling. I finally called back to a recording. Nothing made sense to me so blocked them. ABSOLUTE NUISANCE !!
This number called and I called back. The machine gave my correct name but incorrect date of birth. Then asked me to enter my date of birth which I did not. Said they are specialised recovery services.
