    Same as the above. Received 2 calls in 2 days. They just hang up. When I returned the call I was put to a queue but then no one answered the phone and the message box was full.

    Same as everyone else on here... Received a call from this number a few minutes ago, it rang for a few seconds then hangs up... Seems to be a trend these days with spammers and hackers.

    Just got yet another call from 02 8039 4570 - the third one today. The caller hangs up before I get a chance to answer then when I call back, there's just silence. I've saved this number and added 'NUISANCE' as an identity so I know not to bother answering in future. Still annoying though.

    Basically same as above - called me, no talking on the other end (although sounded like a TV or something in the background). Called back - "the number you have dialed is not in service" after it rang a few times. weird.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
