    I received a call from this number today also, lady with an accent, saying she was from Fast Couriers, and that they'd been given my details from a job I applied for. I have been applying for jobs so continued with the call for a minute or so, but when I queried her about exactly where she had gotten my details from she was evasive. I wrapped up the call saying she would have to call me back. Glad I googled the number and saw these reviews though because I'll know to ignore the number if they call again.

    I had a call from a lady with a chinese accent with this number claiming to be from a well known careers services company that enrols people into VET Fee Help courses telling me her name is Elle. What she was offering sounded suspicious and claimed the company has a partnership with Martin College and I searched the website and the company mentioned nothing about them being in partnership with Martin College and as a past student of Martin College I emailed the Director of Martin College about this strange phone call and they said they will look into it and thanked me for being so cautious.

    A lady called, had an accent, mabye Chinese. She knew I was looking for a job, knew my first name. However, finding out my first name wouldn't be hard and well alot of people are looking for a job. I have applied for several positions over the last month. I asked what job she was calling about, she just kept on telling me that they work for so many companies and she didn't know. I asked her how she got my information, again she didn't know as so many people worked there. At this point of time I politely had to go because of another call coming through. Then I Googled the number and low and behold there is not much information other than just some sort of marketing company in Sydney and similar complaints. However the topics were completely different. Be very suspicious and always be over cautious. Act assertive and most times they don't call you back!

    I received a late night telephone call on my mobile from this number. The person claimed to have been calling with the authority of the Australian Federal Government enticing me to urgently sign up for a fully funded VET program. Follow up email was actually from a marketing company,

    Martin College Admissions Office ..

    This is a total scam. I do not know how or why they obtained my personal details and would advise anyone contacted by them to report it to the relevant authorities. The persistent texting and calling is very annoying and intrusive.

    This is a total scam and spam.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
