As if the ATO would call up via a robot and threaten you with arrest - and even "execution" if we don't call back?

Same message from this scammer. It is about time Telstra and the Government take action and block these idiots calling. The reason we get these calls is companies like Telstra use overseas call centres and give them all our information. These scammers just need to record us saying "yes" to open up the theft of our identities.

Same scam call this morning. As if the ATO would use a computer generated voice to issue a threat of arrest. I have sent an email through to the ATO linking the comments on this website to them. INterestingly enough the phone number used used to be associated with a company called Sweetpath Pty Ltd.

I received a recorded message that a warrant would be issued from the tax office. When I called the number I was speaking to a man with a foreign accent. He would not give me any info without me disclosing my tax file number. I refused and he ended the call. I called back and got the same man. I said I would not give my number and he then asked for my age. I refused and once again he ended the call. Another search page lists this number as a hoax.
