I received a call from (02) 8007 5335.

The machine message claims that there is an outstanding legal case against you, and to avoid further legal action, you must continue and speak with an operator.

I pressed the 'operator' repeatedly what his name was, and how do you spell it. Eventually, he told me the spelling of his name, and spelled out a offensive phrase.

ATO will definitely NOT call you regarding a legal case in this manner.

Fraud! do not answer. block.

Had a missed call from this number but didn't leave a message. Less than 10mins later had another call but this time from a private number. It was a recorded message stating they were from the tax dept and to provide TFN. Had exactly the same call last week from a mobile number: 0410233722. Be wary of both these numbers and never give out your private details. If the tax dept has something official to bring to your attention, they will post it to you.

Another caller (sounding like robo voice) stating they are from the legal department of The Australian Taxation Office and you have unpaid tax debts.

Missed a call from this number. I called back. A male answered. I said I missed his call. I asked who was he. He asked what was my TFN. I immediately hang up. Definitely a scam.

Scam call. Robot caller stating they are from the legal department of The Australian Taxation Office and you have unpaid tax debts.

When you call back the call is answered as Australian Tax Office. It didn't sound like it was a genuine line so I hung up.

I doubt the ATO would nuisance call and not leave a message.

Approach with caution if this number calls you.

When I call back, the call immediately drops. Missed two calls from this number.
