    This number has called twice today in less than an hour to a business, both times a male Indian? They claim to be calling from Accident Help Line in Sydney and to assist with motor claims which aren't your fault!! They tell you they have limited details and can only tell you that they have your number as a contact number.... They then proceed to ask if you or someone has had an accident in the past 12 months. I kept asking them details about the accident - like when? Contact name? what car? Again their answer " I have limited details".... I said surely you must have some details, that you cant randomly call a number with NO details!!!!

    SCAMMERS, SCAMMERS..... Nothing better to do!!

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
