Got a call from the phone number 0280068675. I didn't get to answer and a message was left.
Message is that a lawsuit is filed against me because no response is received for the issue. No mention of the issue.
Requesting to call the number to discuss.
I just had a call from this number saying a complaint has been made against me to the ATO about Tax Fraud.
Pre recorded message from some scam artists saying they are from the ato and filing a lawsuit.
Scam alert! I just received a message saying that I hadn't returned a call about taxation fraud and they had now filed a lawsuit against me. The ATO doesn't do this (I just had a look at their website - I was sure that it was a scam!) The number to call was 2 80068675, which I assumed was (02) etc. Don't return their call!
I got a phonecall from this number. It was an automated computer (American accent) telling me my family is being investigated for fraud by the tax office. It claimed the tax office had tried to contact me on several occasions to no avail (I never received calls/letters). The machine then repeatedly asked me to ring back that number. I am guessing they are scammers.
