    Same number, but says ANZ bank this time. The amount is $120.40 in the recording and says the transaction was at "Coda shop" and says that the transaction was declined. It gives a call back number of 1300 829 063.

    Scam call centre. I spoke with 'Mike'. Said he worked at NAB visa fraud. In Sydney. Roses Road. Told me my visa card started with '5477'. Alleged fraudulent activities. Hmmmm. I don't have a NAB visa card... But I didn't tell him that. I gave him a fake visa card number....& miraculously it checked out!! He told me he could see 'on our system' that there are multiple fraudulent activities. He kept calling me ma'am. Hilarious. He continuously reminded me that the call was being recorded & monitored.... hilarious! I wasted about 15 mins of his time. Then I called again about another 4 times with different voices. Just to give him something to do... That was not scamming more vulnerable ppl out of money.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
