    Got a call, saying they are calling from Aussieland.

    I thought its a cold call or a scam because they are offering holiday packages at very low prices so, I've sent them an email to confirm and they promptly responded to my email and calls.......... So, I think its a good deal!!!!

    Alleged 'aussie land travel' rep trying to sell travel tokens in a special promotion, if I gave my cc details to secure. Beware... Has a FB page with address in industrial area, and a website offering different address which is seemingly a supermarket. No reviews, no ABN, no staff profile for travel consultants.

    I must say this is by far the best experience I have encountered, just a couple of administration things but they were put right immediately.

    Telephone scammers try to steal your money or personal information. Scams may come through phone calls from real people, robocalls, or text messages.

    Call or message may be a scam if:

    • You're asked for personal information or money;
    • Text messages tell you to urgently click a link or call a number;
    • The call or text pretends to be from someone you trust like your phone company or bank;
    • You're being threatened or made to feel scared;
    • The caller wants to access and control your computer.

    To protect yourself:

    • Don't answer if you don't know who it is. Let the call go to voicemail.
    • If a caller leaves a message claiming to be from known organisation, cross check the number the call came from against the organisation's official website.
    • Never share any personal information about yourself or your bank details.
    • Don't click on any links. Never let a stranger take control of your computer.
    • Do not send any money.
    • Block calls on your mobile phone. Your phone company can tell you how to block calls to your home phone.
