Scam call, asked where they got my number and she said ‘we bought it’
They called to confirm my name and admitted to buying my number.
Called left no message and didn't seem like a business when calling back.

They are scammers trying to confirm your name and hang up right after whether they can or cannot confirm your name.
Received a call from this number at 12:52 on a Wednesday. I answered but did not identify myself by name (as I did not recognize the number). There was a delay in the person getting onto the call (usual for scammers). When they joined the call they asked if they were speaking to (my name). I said “who is this?” They kept asking me to confirm my name and I kept asking “who are you?” Finally, I said “this isn’t (my name). You have the wrong number.” They hung up.
This number is likely associated with a scam. The caller made a call but didn't leave a message. Since I do not recognize the number and it's from NSW calling to VIC, I have blocked it as a precaution.
The call was flagged as suspected spam. The voice on the other end, which had a noticeable delay, was Asian and mispronounced my name. When prompted to speak, I decided to hang up instead.
