Scam claiming that I’d added cards to ApplePlay.
Suspicious text. Asking me to contact UBank if I had not authorized a payment of $600 to SportsBet. I had nothing to do with either, therefore I blocked it.
Bendigo Bank scam.
Called the number, scammer didn't even say " hi, welcome to ubank. How may I help you?" RUDE!
In all seriousness it's convincing until they answer and there's an Indian on the other end. The first red flag was they didn't tell me they would record the call for "quality and training", in Australia that's how every business call starts before you talk to anyone.
As a seasoned scammer time waster, I can spot the red flags. But if I were say an older person, I would've thought it was real even though the text was about a betting app telling me to call ubank. As if it makes any sense why a betting app needs you to call a bank, these scammers are kinda smart but extremely stupid.
